Collective Care & Connection

Join Root to Flourish Collective, Planet Women, Rachel’s Network and practitioners from across the conservation, climate, and environmental movement for an in-person opportunity to connect, share resources, and collaborate. We believe collective care, mutual aid, and community support are critical responses to today’s most challenging issues. This is not a traditional DC networking happy hour. Rather, we will take time in thematic groups to intentionally explore how we can support each other with specific challenges and barriers to our work, including fundraising, job searches, career transitions, starting your own consulting business or nonprofit, and centering equity and justice in the sector. Democracy, Narrative Infrastructure & Our Political Power

Weaving Equity & Justice

Many organizational leaders have developed values and visions for equity and justice in their work, but few have considered how to operationalize these efforts, within the organization’s internal power structures and in external partnerships, collaborations, and community engagement. In this session R2FC Executive Curator Dr. Mel Michelle Lewis will explore liberatory leadership theory and practice, equip leaders with language and models for weaving equity and justice into organizational structures, and examine strategies for implementation and impact.
